Dena Lowther, LVT
Born and raised in Virginia, Dena is a graduate of the Northern Virginia Community College Veterinary Technician Program. She passed the National Veterinary Technician Board Examination in January 2007, and graduated in May 2007 to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has been in the veterinary field of medicine since 2002 and has been working for the Veterinary Surgical Referral Practice since the summer of 2006. She enjoys the surgical field of medicine and all the exciting procedures she gets to assist in. She has a strong interest in anesthesia and abdominal surgeries.
At home, Dena is mother to a beautiful daughter Mackenzie, canine companion Heidi, and furry feline Mr. Waffeter. In addition to her busy life, Dena finds plenty of time to enjoy NFL football and always remains a die-hard Redskins fan!
