Linda Vance, LVT

After teaching junior high and high school band for a while Linda decided she'd rather work with four-footed animals. She graduated from the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Colorado in 1981 and has been licensed since 1982. She has extensive teaching and animal care experience, teaching at Bel-Rea for five years and working at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Blacksburg in anesthesia and electrodiagnostics for 9 years. She also managed a veterinary practice for six years.

When she's not working Linda runs her sheltie Libby in agility and teaches Puppy Kindergarten at Mountain View Dog Training. She recently adopted another sheltie named Andy with whom she hopes to compete in Rally Obedience. Her Tibetan spaniel Tuck has trained her to hold still while he sits on her lap, and her four cats rule the house.
